About us
Juan Escalante brings over two decades of experience in hospital and hospice leadership, where he has guided seniors and their families through some of life’s most important care decisions. Throughout his career, Juan has partnered closely with medical teams, social workers, and care providers, helping families understand their options and navigate uncertain moments with dignity, clarity, and compassion.
Heidi brings nearly 20 years of experience supporting seniors and their families, including her work in hospice as a Certified Harp Therapist and as a marketing director for skilled nursing communities. She blends emotional support with practical insight to help families feel confident, understood, and cared for throughout the process.
That experience inspired the creation of Escalante Senior Placement, a service dedicated to protecting families from pressure and providing clear, compassionate guidance every step of the way. Their mission is to help families find the right place, the right level of support, and the best possible care environment for their loved ones.
Outside of their professional work, Juan and Heidi’s greatest joy is raising their three young children, a role that deeply shapes the way they serve seniors and families. They understand that every senior is someone’s parent or grandparent and approach each family with the same care and respect they would want for their own loved ones.
Originally serving Southern California, Juan and Heidi have recently made a home in Southern Utah and now brings their expertise to families across both areas.

About Senior Placement Services
Senior placement is a support service that helps families make one of the most important decisions they'll face: finding the right place for an elderly loved one to live and receive care. Rather than spending months researching communities and trying to compare options, you get an experienced guide who understands the local options available and can match your loved one with the right type of senior living arrangement based on their needs, preferences, health, and budget.
Placement specialists help you understand the differences between care settings, recommend vetted facilities, coordinate and schedule tours, answer your questions, and stay by your side throughout the move-in planning and paperwork.
1. Contact Us
The senior placement process starts with a no-obligation consultation by phone, video, or in person. We want to understand your family's situation, your loved one's health status, care needs (assisted living, skilled nursing, social or activity preferences), lifestyle goals, and financial limitations.
Once we know what the whole picture looks like, then we can work to make sure your loved one's next home matches their real needs, not just the idea of general senior living.
2. Explore Options
Based on what we learn in the initial consultation, we explore our network of trusted senior communities and services between Utah and California, we identify facilities and providers that meet your loved one's specific care needs.
We don't just present you with an overwhelming list of all options, but instead curate a very targeted shortlist of communities we think would make for the best fit.
3. Take a Tour
In our experience, seeing a community firsthand makes these decisions much easier. We schedule tours, coordinate visits, and can even accompany you to help evaluate the facility and services offered.
Seeing the facility in person allows you to observe the staff interactions, daily routines, and the overall atmosphere of the community, so you can find a place your loved one will thrive and be cared for.
4. You Decide
After visiting facilities, we assist in evaluating each option, clarifying costs, and answering any remaining questions you may have.
Once you make your choice, we guide you through the admission process, move-in planning, and all necessary paperwork to make the transition as seamless as possible for you.
Our Service is Free for Families
Working with Escalante Senior Placement costs you nothing. Families never pay a fee for consultations, community research, tours, guidance, or support. Our service is 100% complimentary to you, and there are no hidden charges or commitments.
We're able to offer this service at no cost to you because senior living communities, services like assisted living, dementia support residences, long-term care centers, and residential care homes, compensate us after a placement is made. This is a standard arrangement across the senior living industry, similar to how real estate agents are paid by the seller, not the buyer.
